HPTA Call for Volunteers

The Hight Park Tenants’ Association is looking for both one-off and long-term volunteers to help with our mission of keeping the community connected and advocating for tenant rights.

One-Off Flyer Distribution

Want to help spread the word about the HPTA and provide some helpful tips to fellow High Park residents in need? We are looking for volunteer help from tenants in all represented GWLRA, Minto and DMI buildings who would not be considered at-risk due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. We have two flyers to be distributed at the same time: One about the HPTA and one with useful tips for those who may be having trouble acquiring what they need due to the lockdown and pandemic precautions.

This can be done in your spare time and the more volunteers we get from each building, the less floors everyone will need to do!

Building Relations & Tenants Issues

We are looking for two to three volunteers to help with Building/Landlord relations and Tenants issues.

Board Representative: Building Relations (Co-chair)

Supporting the Vice President and Co-Chair of Building Relations, you will join meetings with local landlords and liaise with other volunteers monitoring the HPTA general inbox to keep up to date with current tenant issues and concerns.

Tenant Issues Monitoring

Working with another volunteer, you will help to monitor the HPTA general inbox, provide answers to common questions and escalate matters when appropriate. You will also help the same volunteer to post regular updates to our Facebook page and keep our online presence active.
