Chance to comment on proposal for new tower at 299 Glenlake Ave

You may recall that in January 2019, a proposal was submitted to clear out the open space at 299 Glenlake to build a new tower facing the street. A copy of the proposal can be found here: https://www.toronto.ca/legdocs/mmis/2019/te/bgrd/backgroundfile-130447.pdf

On Friday, November 22nd at 10 am a Case Management Conference is being held to consider the proposed application.

You have the opportunity to submit written comments about the proposal and attend the conference if you would like. You can submit written comments whether or not you would also like to attend the hearing.

To submit your written comments, send to the following contacts referencing case number PL180759. Submissions must be received prior to the hearing date, so send no later than Thursday, November 21st at 10 am.

Ben Bath: ben.bath@ontario.ca (this is the case coordinator assigned to the file)
Gabriel Szobel: gabe.szobel@toronto.ca
Marc Hardiejowski: marc.hardiejowski@toronto.ca

Along with your written statement, you must also complete a Case Management Conference Submission Form which can be downloaded at this link. Simply attach your submission form with your email to the contacts above. http://elto.gov.on.ca/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/2019-07-19-CMC-Submission-Form-05-SV-SC-BT.docx

Don’t be deterred by having to complete this form! It is quick and just asks you to explain your interest in this hearing (i.e. you are a longtime resident of the community or of the building and can provide comment on how this proposal will impact tenants and residents in the area) and to provide your contact information.

With the many development proposals currently underway in our neighbourhood it is important that tenants continue to speak up and have a say in the future of the community.
